Looks like you have the older pre-09 style headlights, so they won't work. If you had 10-14, they would be great.

Why won't they work in his 2005?

I don't have experience with OPT7. I think that's one of those Amazon brands... I like their packaging, but the bulb design is an older one. Have you seen the LED kits I offer? Latest generation. VERY VERY durable (i've thrown them in water, mud and lately ice... still work).

The kits I sell have adjustable beam patterns as well.

Can you explain how a 9008/H13 bulb has an adjustable beam pattern when it has 3 specific tabs that only fit 1 way into a headlamp assembly? I have seen claims of adjustable beam pattern, but never have seen how it works. thanks

This might help. See the little arrows on the bulb where it says CORRECT and INCORRECT. That piece is the beam pattern portion. It helps deflect the beam to replicate that cut-off that a housing will do. This is why our bulbs are better then others, we have additional components like that on the bulbs. You can also rotate the actual bulb... as the "3 tabs" portion is not molded into the housing itself of the bulb. It's actually free-floating so you can actually turn it independently, which allows you to turn it completely in any direction you need to. ALL of the bulbs actually in my 6000 Lumen series offer this part, not just the H13

If you like us on FaceBook we have a video done by a well known youtuber who we sent a kit as part of a "Giveaway" - he actually did a quick review of them and in the video you see him rotating his bulb within his housing.

Cool! So if the led's arent in the 3 and 9 position after locking in the bulb, remove the bulb and adjust until you get them in the 3 and 9 spot. Looking at trying LED's in my 07 Expedition, which has a housing very similar to the 09-15 F150's, which people have had good success with LED headlight bulbs.

Correct. There is a small set screw you remove, rotate the base, then put the set screw back in to prevent it from moving. Some of the older models (and the non-H13) don't use a set screw. It's a small spring/metal ball that basically hold it steady and you can rotate it without removing the bulb... nice feature i'm hoping to get on all of the bulbs.

So far everybodys had good success with my kits. From the H11/9005 bulbs on the newer trucks to the H13 on the older trucks. I had a few people on here have a bad ballast from the first batch that came in, but the batch that came in this past Monday seem to work fine. I've been testing every set I send out to ensure they work (I think it's just a connector issue, the H13's have the 3 pins and I believe they might have just gotten out of alignment when the factory built them is all, as i've had to adjust a few before shipping them).

I've honestly only had 1 person send the bulbs back and it wasn't because they didn't work. He just could not get them installed on his 15/16... he had a tough time doing it (can't blame him, having to remove the entire housing CAN be a bit of a task and without removing the fog light on the 15/16 it can be a pain to get your hand up in there). I think he just ran out of patience (which I did the first time I installed my very first LED kit on my truck, cursing ford left/right ready to throw thing against the wall) - SUCH a stupid design for replacing bulbs (halogen or led) on the 15/16.

Sub - going to take a look at these after I get back from vacation. So I assume its much easier to install if I remove the headlight assembly from the truck? And its all plug and play?

On the 2015 you HAVE to remove the headlight assembly from your truck (THANKS FORD!). It's all plug and play for the most part. No need to run wires from your battery like with an HID system. The ballasts fit inside the 2015 headlight assembly and I provide you new boots for the low beams to cover it all (high beams don't need one, the bulb sits deeper/forward more so the factory boot has room)
