So my third brake light is leaking. Picked up the replacement on the right below. It is supposed to be "plug and play" but it obviously will not plug into the wiring harness from the current light, which is on the left. My question: can I just cut the old light out, cut the adapters off the new light and then run red to red, all blacks together, and green to white? I assume wire nuts are the best choice? I appreciate any help.
