Been there, done that with the HID in a halogen reflector. Sure was bright, but completely illegal and blinded the crap out of people. Now I'm just saving my money for a complete OEM HID kit from one of the reputable companies like Raptor Retrofit. Yes, it is expensive, but I figure safety (for me and oncoming traffic) is worth it as well as having to do it only once.

I swapped out the headlamps for Sylvania's and ripped out the silly ballasts and what not that were very poorly installed. I should have the matching fogs there today to swap out as well.

I gotta say, the sylvanias I put in are just as bright as the ones that were in there.... And they look alot better with the plain white light!

Good to hear! you had a light brighter light before, but it was hitting all the wrong spots, now that your light is hitting the correct places, you can actually see!

Friends don't let friends buy crappy HID kits

what fogs did you get?

I just replaced the HID kit headlamps with
Sylvania H13 Silverstar
and the fog lamps with the
Sylvania 9145 Silverstar

Got them both in yesterday and this morning they were nice and clear and bright, and I don't have that "hey look at me" blue color anymore.
