is there a huge difference in light output between the SR-M and SR-Q? or will the SR-M suffice since this will be needed mostly on my pitch black driveway with dark tints..

The SR-M will suffice for most applications, it is obviously going to be much better than stock backup bulbs. BUT in my opinion, the SR-Q not only look better back there, but that extra brightness is ultimately worth it. I actually went up to some SR-Q2 diffused back up lights just because I wanted more and more light.

For you, pitch black driveway, you'd be ok-to-good with SR-M's. SR-Q's would be Good-to-perfect. Add in your dark tinted windows, you will almost NEED SR-Q's.

So yes, you could be fine with SR-M backups for most applications, but why would you when SR-Q's are not that much more ($30 or so difference through us).

Sent you another PM last week. Still never got that quote I had asked for before Black Friday. Not sure if you guys can't ship to Canada or not. A little unimpressed that I will have missed out on all the deals waiting for this quote.

I've been looking for a reverse light kit like this but am wanting the SR-Q2's and have noticed that no one offers a complete reverse kit with the SR-Q2 option. Is there a specific reason for this? Are the SR-Q's better for the reverse light application? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something here.

The SR-Q and SR-Q are for the most part the same. 2 key points, the SR-Q2's have upgraded optics (although with diffused it won't really matter) and the SR-Q2's have double the output. So essentially, with backup lights, the SR-Q2's are just a hell of a lot brighter

Yup, and that's why I upgraded my SR-Qs to SR-Q2's, not because I needed it, but because anything worth doing is worth overdoing TO THE MAX!!!

So I guess it might mot be REALLY worth it except for the extra satisfaction of over doing it? I do have a pretty dark driveway (only light is from my truck in reverse) and window tint all the way around (25%) so I just don't want the "I shoulda" feeling with just the original SR-Q's.

Anyone have an idea what the price of this kit would be with the SR-Q2's?
