You're just looking for trouble with blue lights. They could impound for 'impersonating'. You can argue all you want but at the end of the day, whatever the experienced supervisor decides will be your fate. Just change to white or yellow and you'l get a thumbs up all around.

If you fire those up on the road and a cop sees them, expect to be pulled over and get a warning on the light side and arrested for impersonating an officer on the bad end. Blue (and red up front) lights are a gamble if they don't flash. Flashing blues/reds are asking for trouble. They're neat and make a cool parking lot show, but don't use them on the road.

I would never use them on the road for a variety of reasons:
#1-I live in California
