I sure everyone on here are tired of seeing posts about wiring light bars but I need some help. I have recently purchased a 20" 126 watt and a 32" 180 watt light bars. I did buy a harness that got hot pretty quick. Would you recommend buying two separate harnesses? Or has anyone found a dual switch harness or any harness that can handle these two bars at once. I have seen posts of people making there own. I wouldn't even know where to start with that. My electrical skills are poor to say the least. Appreciate the help!

do you have pics of the lights? What gauge wiring are you using? How big of a switch are you using?

^^^ No offence, but those two things alone suggest you take the prudent - and Safe - approach and go get some professional help.

On all my lights I run individual harnesses, for me that means 4 right now. It is the way most harnesses are designed, however This is a dual output one from superbrightleds.com I have used that one in the past but removed the second output. That would run to a single switch that would control both lights. I also didnt use the included switch, I prefer OTRATTW switches.

Personally I prefer the safe rather than sorry approach. So if I wanted multiple Light bars to be powered by one switch I would run individual harnesses for each light, and splice them to the same switch.

I would also suggest maybe you take MGD's advice and seek out help from a shop. My first light bar harness was installed by an off road shop. After he foolishly let me watch him do it, I decided not only should I not be paying for that but I can do better!
