Default MAH LED Tail Lights and Heads - Many Pics

I have recieved many requests for pics of my mods to the lights on my truck. The tails and heads were done by a company in Pasadena, Tx, Plain and Simple. I am not affiliated with them in any way.

The tail lights I am pleased with except for the incandscent bulbs in the center of the led rings. I am trying to find a suitable replacement led. The heads are ok, but I am having new ones built by Bil. While most would probably be ok with them, the attention to detail and perhaps long term quality are not where I would like them to be.

The 60 inch light bar is from Vled and and is very bright. I have the led backup plate reverse lights which work very well as well as led replacements in the 3rd brake light/cargo lights. I have also installed the forward facing led turn signals in the rear view mirrors.

There will be perhaps 3 posts here with the pics.

Default Additional Tail light Pics

These are with the brakes applied for the most part and are at dusk. You can see how bright the side facing leds are by looking at the wall next to the front of the truck in one of the pics. The tail lights are the same brightness. It is very interesting to look at the backup camera with the light bar on and see the reflection on top of the bumper.

Default Head Light Pics

A couple of the heads. They are very bright and really stand out. The fog lights are from Bil. Sorry about the quality as my camera in the phone is just so so.

If you are looking to go the route I did and the least expensive way is also on your mind, then you might want to look else where. The tail lights were about $500. This cost does not include providing a set of tail lights. I found a good set used and had my existing lights modified. You would need an extra pair while the process takes place. Also nice to have a pair if something did happen down the road.

You could do this less expensively if you wanted to use less led strips as side markers and perhaps use a different led bulb facing the rear.

One off mods are never inexpensive. You will also need to be pretty good at figuring out electrical wiring unless you want to pay the additional expense of having someone install it for you. I installed mine. I think the tail lights would be more forgiving than modifying then the headlights. Not as many items to precisely aim, ie HD bulbs.
