I have these and they have an adhesive backing. They have stayed in place for a year now inside my topper. So I'm not sure how well they will stay in place exposed to the weather. Even if they don't stay stuck in place you could just buy some of the foam double sided tape to stick them back up.

As op Stated the back is lined with sticky tape! Clean the spot you plan to stick them to Properly with alcohol, allow to dry then apply leds...

I attached these under the bed rails and then I attached my LED's to them. This way I,was able to bend the wall molding to the angle I want to direct the lights to where I want it.

To mount the composite to the underside of the rail I used velco strips
