Ok so my original idea what to tap some very shallow holes in the aluminum housing so I could use the factory foglight pivot points for mounting - giving me vertical adjustability.

I decided the housing was too close to the lens, and not knowing where the internal circuitry was, I opted out of that idea. I roughed the light into the housing, and used the vertical and horizontal lines on both the frame, and the light to give me a rough estimate of alignment. Put it back into the truck and quickly wired up a deutsch-to-9005 pigtail, and plugged it in. One word...

WOW.

The cannons are absolutely nuts. I had HIDs in my foglights before, and the wash from the Cannon absolutely drowns out any trace of the 35w HID kit.. It's got a gnarly spot pattern and the distance it throws is crazy. I got some pics, but I'm doing this all at work so I just pointed it against the geologists shack and lit him up, lol.

I will get some better ones when I get out of here - but overall I am extremely impressed. They also fit just perfect in the factory locations and look great!

Left side is the HID, right side is the Cannon. Headlights are off but the markers are VLED Tritons, so they're bright too lol. Hard to tell a difference from this photo.

The spot. Parked back about 30'. The other side is on as well.. You just can't see it - at all.

Expensive, but I am extremely impressed. Going to have to very selective when and where I run these now.

I ended up lowering the angle, as it was far too high when pointed far away. Perfect now. Few more photos.

Turns out my passenger side foglight was thirsty

Again, I'm super happy with the results. As I mentioned, using screw for adjustment wouldn't work IMO, but the way that Ford mounts the buckets with three screws permits the use of washers as shims to change vertical and horizontal alignment, if necessary.

any plans to try the euro beam covers?

Thinking they may tone it down enough to be usable on road

Are you just placing the washers behind the mounting screws? Any pics of the back side of them epoxied in? I may buy some extra buckets and put these in. Also did you make the pigtail?
