I'm still amazed that there is no company out there that makes after-market LED tail lights that are mostly, historically free of manufacturing issues (e.g., water leaks, wiring problems).

It's almost as if someone's trying to make a buck instead of a halfway decent product...

I mean, this is the top-selling vehicle on the planet (probably, or definitely in the US), yet no one can bother to make a quality aftermarket light for it. Boggles the mind. I know that if there was a good looking, quality aftermarket LED tail light out there, I'd probably be all over it. But reading about all these horror stories makes me back away slowly, hands out in front...

Just installed my new custom tails. Five led bars down the side as running lights and two halo rings as the turn/running/brake light combo. I did have to add the OEM incandescent bulbs to the center of the halos because it added a little brightness and provided the necessary resistance to the circuit so I would not need a load restistors. Will post pics in a couple of days.

Have you thought about maybe installing some VLEDS V3 Triton bulbs instead of replacing a whole taillight assembly?

Default Retrofitted LED Taillights

Sorry about the quality as this is from my phone. Better ones to come.

As you can see there are 5 side led bars here that are side running lights, very bright I might add.

Two led halo rings make up the turn/stop/running lights. I did leave in the incandescent bulbs for the time being. For one thing, it keeps the fast flashing from occurring. There are also very bright led reverse lights here as well.

Rather blurry I know. This also picks up the led bar under the tailgate. I also have the VLED liscense plate holder with 6 very bright white leds on reversing. Very bright reverse lights.

Good job on getting the pics up. Just cut and past the link that you get from photobucket you don't need to use the post pic icon here at the site with photobocket you'll get the hang of it.

I'd love to see daytime pics too with no lights on if that's possible. Thanks for posting.

They look amazing. I'm unsure about leaving the incandescent bulbs in though, just because they aren't instant on and off like the LED's are.

I will be replacing them with LEDs. They are very bright.
