I have been doing some research on these LED Switchbacks. I would like to replace the front turn signal/parking lights. There are tons of options out there but wanted some directions based on peoples experience or knowledge about them. I have only seen a few posts within the forum about them. If anyone has a specific thread to review that would be great!

I've seen people rave about the Triton V3's but need to justify spending $140 for 2 bulbs.

Using V3's Gen2's both front and back. Work great. Just wait for a sale or search the web for coupon codes to save some $$$.

Yes - they are expensive, but, IMHO, worth it. The look is very 'clean' - not silly towers festooned with LED chips - I hate that goofy look, lol. And BRIGHT !!! OMFG !!! LMAO !!!

thanks for the info MGD. How was ease of install? Just tapping into the exising lines similar to installing ballasts on a retrofit? There is actually a current St. Patty's Day sale today 20% off. Do you have any images of your setup?

No tapping ( well, except for the optional dimming feature for the fronts ).

It's plug & pray, as you specify at ordering exactly which bulb sockets you are going to be using them with (in this case 3157's all around). You have a 2010? Because of yer SJB, you will need to activate their error cancelling feature ( supplied ). It's in the instructions - very simple.

Sorry - no pics, it would look exactly like the images on their website anyway. A lot of the YouTube stuff sill shows the old Gen 1 style - totally different than Gen2.

What is "activate their error cancelling feature"? I tried looking online to read about, didnt find anything.

Hi.

This is nothing more than the load resistor to defeat hyperflash. Which incidentally, for vehicles with B.O.W systems (like yours) also ensures that the SJB computer sees a valid bulb 'load' ( LEDs typically do not provide sufficient loads to satisfy most B.O.W systems, triggering an error. ). Oh: B.O.W = "Bulb Out Warning".

Or make your own with a 5 pin relay with a 87 pin and a 87a pin and a cheap ebay dual color bulb



30-Parking Light Wire
85-Ground Wire
86-Turn Signal Wire
87-White Park Light
87a-Yellow Turn Signal Light

Don't try this unless you know what a relay is and how to wire them, but that is basically how to do it.

There are two different lights that might be applicable to the F-150 as it relates to the vled lights. One is a. 3157ck and the other is a 3157 something. Which one works for us?

Careful on the Tritons if you have DRLs activated. That will cause them to randomly flicker between amber and white.

I've been working w/VLEDs for a couple of weeks now troubleshooting. They are very good and responsive and appear to want to work it out/investigate a fix.

If you don't have DRLs activated, you're golden.
