LED light bar troubles wiring
Hey everyone I'm new here,
I just recently installed a new 42 inch led light bar behind my grille. The wiring it came with ran directly off the battery which was fine until I realized the rocker switch has a red led that always stays on even when the truck is off! So after decidING I didn't ever want to kill the battery I bought a fuse tap. I tapped into the rain sensor fus in the under the hood box. My truck doesn't have a sensor so I figured it would be a great slot. The only issue I have is that the slot has a 5amp fuse and my light bar draws more then that. I orginslly put the 5amp back in the fuse tap along with a 30amp in the other. The 5amp blew after running the light bar for 2 minutes. Would the truck have issues if I replaced the 5amp fuse with a 30amp ? I'm not sure the stock wiring to the fuse box if it could handle it or if the truck would burn to the ground. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't use your fuse box to run power for ANYTHING. You should avoid that at all costs unless it's something VERY tiny.
A light bar will blow those fuses quickly.
Run your own power lines and install a relay.
I can't help you with how to wire a relay but there are videos on youtube on how to do this, I like the ChrisFix videos and he did a video here:
