I am not sure why some people had issues with the OPT7. I simply plugged them in and they worked flawlessly. No flicker, no errors, correct beam, etc. I did have one of the 2 LEDs fail on one of the lights, but that was replaced without question from the vendor.

I assume there could be some difference between the 2015 vs 2014-below. But, there are many people using these without these problems. I think the beam issue may have been that the bulb wasn't fully seated before rotating in to the socket. The flicker could be the connectors not fully seating. Who knows. I just don't think these issues are common or expected. Just my 2 cents.

"worked flawlessly"

"1/2 Leds failed"

Yeah, that's not flawless.

I think the difference truly is the housing. The 2015 housing is perfect for the opt7 bulb. Now, if the opt7 bulbs could be clocked in the housing they would be great for the 2014s also. Unfortunately they can't. I loved them, just wasn't able to get the beam corrected.

It's ok, I'm going to try the Putco brand after Valentines day. They are adjustable in the housing so they should be just fine. In the mean time I picked up a set of ZXE bulbs for only 40 bucks on Amazon.

The out of box experience and installation were flawless. That is the point. It was about a month and a half later that one of the two LEDs failed. This response was in regard to out of box experiences.

Out of box experience..? They're lightbulbs.....

The only experience worthy of flawless, is that they lit up reliably. 1.5 months until failure isn't IMO anywhere close to flawless.

But to each their own.

Agree, that is logic. Worked flawlessly would be working, not one failed. I had those lights and thought they were horrible. Very patchy and didn't light up the ground well. Also didn't throw far.

I probably mentioned it in the past, but I'd recommend Morimoto. Pretty much the best you're going to get for aftermarket.

I have Morimotos in my fog lights. Love them. Had them in my low beams until I did my retrofit.

I do have a set of resistors installed for my LED marker lights but the resistors can come out since they didn't help with the hyper flash (had to replace the flasher relay with a different one from NAPA).

Anyone else have this issue with the OPT7's???
I ever got similar but not sure if exactly same issue before:
Is your f150 is 04-08 model with h13 bulbs?
If all the fog lights and headlights change to leds, you will got that problem, but if you change the headlights to factory original halogen bulbs, you can change the hi/lo beam as it should, right? If you change the fog lights to halogen bulbs and keep the headlights bulbs in leds, also without issue, right?
If all your answer is yes, then probably it's your led fog lights/ lled headlight bulbs compatible issue, have to exchange one of them.

Wish my info. is a bit ussful to you.
