Default Ambient Lighting Kit

Have a 2015 Ford XLT, 8" Inch Screen. I saw that Ford has the ambient light kit for around $250. Was wondering if I ordered for the dealer to put in, if it would hook up and be able to control through my screen? Or if there's any cheaper options out there that are basically the same thing.

Thanks.

The 250 dealer otion is controlled by a button style switch. Its nothing like what comes in the Lariats and above trims.

Look at this, same thing and much cheaper..

Wow, $250! I got the whole LED bulbs replaced in my car for under $60.

I second this kit - I've got it on the table, but have not installed. It looks very well made though. The leds are encased in a silicone or something and very easy plug and play with a lot of control - color and brightness. If you connect all of the wires - it will even turn the LED's white when you open the door to give you good lighting - then return to their preselected color after you close the door. Toddman (I believe installed) and others here have used it - no negative feedback that I've seen at all and it is a good price. It also has an add on option if you want more lights than are in the base kit.
