I am still concerned with the reason as to why you needed to switch bulbs from side to side. So upon initial install, only one diode lit up? Does that mean when you switched side to side, both diodes on each light lit up?

4x4truckleds, was this a polarity issue on the plugs?

Yeah upon initial install only one diode lit up. I just decided for the heck of it maybe these are side specific and as soon as I switched both diodes on each light turned on. It's weird, but it worked so I don't question something working haha.

They must be polarity specific. Usually, "usually" high end LED bulbs dont have this problem.

What cut-off? LOL HID's dont produce a cut-off

Not sure... did you use the proper ballasts, which you must have since they are different connectors.

My guess is the connection was not solid was all and when he switched it, he made a better connection

Correct, projectors produce a cut-off. But that cut-off was distracting and the throw of light was nil, so I hated it.

I highly doubt both lights had poor connection. It has to be that they are polarity sensitive. Or maybe not. Hell, I dont know. Seems odd.

I secured the connection twice and made sure to screw them together. They just didn't work like that. I just did it again right now, and same thing happened. One diode doesn't turn on when I swap the sides, I know how to install things.

Maybe I got some older models, that are module specific or something. It works now so I'm not worried, just a little time consuming that's all.

High end bulbs should not do that.....I am glad they work now though. As well as older models, cant be the problem. These are the newest style of LED bulbs on the market.

Do the ballasts have a different # on the back? 6G, 6F, etc... are they the same or different #'s ???

The ballasts are not polarity sensitive, you can hookup either side to + or -

I've heard of this happening and not sure how the gentleman fixed it. I don't understand why turning the fog lights on turns the headlights on... that's bizar.

Did you ever have anything else ever hooked up to your lights? Resistors or HID in the past?
