for what its worth, the higher the kelvin rating, the lower to light output... food for thought.

plus anything besides slight blue is going to make you "that guy".

ps. the glare isnt because of the aiming, its because the factory halogen housing is not designed to aim an excited xenon gas, its designed to focus a powered filament.

with that all said, i have 8000k in my heads and fogs and love them. just changed from 6000k heads (white)/ 2500k fogs (yellow).

^that is if theyre not OEM, like us who put them in our halogen designed heads. BUT if you do a retro-fit (putting HIDs in true projectors- acura TL's are the best projectors but expensive, not crappy ebay ones) theyre legal since they have a good cuttoff unlike the halogens.

tonight (yes its 2:40AM) i drove home and went by several cops, I had my brights on and fogs too (i did the mod for em, pretty sweet) and they continued to sit there. so guess im good....for now.

yeah i've driven by several cops and have yet to get pulled over for them but retro fit's are illegal too. they are not dot approved and therefore illegal, but odds are very slim for getting pulled over if you have a retrofit done.
