As you should be.
Unfortunely, most of those that blind you are the cheap $50 eBay kits. There's a difference between high end kits and low end kits.
Again, I think you're upset about all the cheap kits that blind you. I was in your exact shoes.
These however, are different but you're lumping them into the same category without having seen them for yourself.

Ultimately the design of the bulb is what will make the light dispersal patterns different between them. Also the ballasts are only required for voltage smoothing to ensure there's no flicker, but if the ballast goes you'll know immediately. Thankfully you can buy ballasts for $10-15 on your own that are just the same as the ones we have.
Buying inexpensive bulbs/ballasts doesn't mean they're crap, buying cheap ones does.
There's things to look for, a low beam directional hood so you can ensure cutoff, a heat pipe design, a removable/replaceable fan in the event the fan dies off, etc.

See...now this response is a lot better than the "thanks for dropping by" reply you made earlier.
As a vendor I expect a little more if you want to establish your credibility. Unfortunately you lost me.
I buy what I want and need from factory, I have the factory HIDs...when it comes to lighting most should.
I am also one of a growing number of motorists who is getting fed up with all the non compliant after factory headlights blinding me on highways.

A-freaking-men! I am also fed up with the newer Harley's with led headlights... those things blind you during the day, let alone at night.

It's all about proper headlight adjustment and using the proper bulbs. The XHP series kits these folks have been buying from me outperform any other LED product on the market (that's again, WHY I sell them). They don't blind people like the cheaper products you are used to.
Give them a try eyecandy, if you don't like them I'll give you your money back

I tried a couple sets of LED switchbacks from jdm astar earlier this year. Both flickered, returned and got my money back. That's my experience.

I've installed my LED headlights by 4x4TruckLED's last week. So far so good! The LED's have a really nice cut-off for it being in halogen housings and much brighter than the halogen bulbs, but I have not quite driven with them at night yet.
I am going on 8 hour road trip this weekend which will be mostly at night and I will report back on how well they perform in back country roads.

You can try the JDMastar ones but you'll need the rubber boots (another $15 plus shipping so figure $20) so now you are up to $119... my sale sold them at $105... soo looks like I'm cheaper. Granted my everyday price is $140 so normally I'm $21 more. but with the F150Forum 10% off my everyday price is actually $126 so we're talking $7 more.. but you also get my customer support (and anybody who has talked to me knows you can reach me 24/7 practically and all issues are handled right away)
I'll be honest and tell you the lights are sell are starting to hit mainstream now. I was one of the first 2-3 people to sell them, but now they are catching on. With that said, again you get what you pay for. There are DOZENS of "manufactuers" who make these lights overseas. I've had issues with a few manufacturers where the bulbs/ballasts were sub-par. So it takes time to work out the kinks. I'm actually STILL working out the kinks with the H13 bulbs, which is why I can't discount them yet (gotta pay for quality).

I bought the Hi and Low beams for my 2015 and I am very happy with the performance up to this time. Had to make a slight adjustment and don't get flashed by other drivers. I drive the hills and back roads of Western Mass and Vermont when I travel to and from work. I drive very early in the morning and late at night. I especially like the Hi beams and use them quite a bit because I need them. They light up the road, especially the reflective road markers and signs and you can also the critters eyeballs on the side of the road when they look in your direction. That is one of the main reasons I installed them,so I don't have to scrape the critter off of the truck! I highly recommend them.
They also greatly improve the appearance of the truck.
