Rough country light bars

I pulled the trigger on a 30 inch and the brackets to mount behind the grille. Hopefully it will get through my Lariat chrome honeycomb grille ok.
I am only going to use it occasionally. It will be wired to trigger on the high beams as well have an override. Now to find a discreet on/off/on switch.

Honestly... it's all the same Chinese made stuff. You should be fine though. Some Chinese manufacturers cut corners, while others don't. Rough Country wouldn't sell crap so you'll be good. Plus they'll stand behind anything they sell.

Everything is Chinese made....even Rigid. That does not matter to me and I am sure the bar will work great.
The 30" single LED bar was on sale and the lifetime replacement guarantee is a huge plus. I am not looking for light 500m down the road, 100m will do for me. I already have HID light so these are a good supplement.
This video sold me. I now it is the 50" and is roof mounted, but it will still make a huge difference on those country roads.

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't need to light up all the way down the street, just in front of me.
What year is your truck and what kind of brackets did you use? I have a 2015 and I'm trying to find brackets that go on the inside of the jam, to hide the holes...

I have a 2010 F150 Lariat with the chrome honeycomb grille. I ordered the 09-14 30" bar brackets from Rough Country. It may take some time for it all to get here in Canada.

I have this grille and I hope it shines through.
It would be interesting to measure the XLT grille to see if mounts could be made to make it like the RC F250/350 grille.

2 thumbs up!
The bar installed quickly with the F150 brackets. I mounted it in the top position to get it to shine through my chrome honeycomb grille the best. The bar is great, the only issue I have is with the harness.
The bar connection is good. The relay holder is good. The relay is so-so. As long as it works, there will be no issues, but a nice Hella would be better. The harness connections to the battery are short and the relay is right next to the battery. The switch harness is shorter than the bar harness so I had to get creative to find the way into the truck. I used the passenger side grommet to make this happen.
I am fine with all of this as the switch is temporary for now. It is actually quite nice. It has a red led when the bar is off and a green led when it is on. I will be wiring it to the high beam circuit and an override with a on/off/on switch. With the current setup, only the battery connections are required. We will see how adventurous I will be with changing the switch out. I am thinking running on the backroads with low beams and your finger on the switch might be enough. There is really no need for high beams so far.
Overall it throws a ton of light. I have Spyder HID lights and the light bar destroys the high beam output. Together with the high beams it is awesome. The low beam covers a bit wider than the bar, but I was only in a parking lot. I will try it on a dark road soon.
You can’t see the bar from the front or side of the truck unless you bend down. I love it.
