Default Headlights with neon strip

I've recently installed new headlights with a neon strip in the bottom of the assembly. It had 2 wires to connect for the neon light to work. I wired it to my side running light so that when I cut my fog lights on the neon bulb would work without the headlights being on.
Problem; now my front blinkers don't work and my blinker light on the mirror stays on?? Puzzling because it's not connected to the blinkers at all.
ANYY IDEAS??

You should use a relay. What you are doing is tapping into power for the side running light, for that neon light (is it a neon light or an LED light?). So your light is acting as a resistor, taking energy away from the side light, which is giving you issues.

If you remove the light, I bet your blinkers work again correct? All of that is actually inter-connected in the main harness. When your blinkers go on they either turn off the side marker light or cause the side marker to flash as well, depending on what vehicle you have (you didn't specify what year your vehicle was)

Thanks for the info. It's a neon light. Looks like it's going to be more work than what I thought.

First off...the fog light and the marker light are 2 different things.. you may be better off wiring the neon lights to the fogs vice the side marker lights.

Wouldn't that cause the same issue though?

I wouldn't think so...fogs are on own fuse and relay.. the Neon's will not come on with your parking lights or head lights...just when you turn the fogs on...
