Default Headlight question

So i bought a set of 2012 spyder headlights with the running light and projector, my question is i have some brand new xp50 bulbs from 4x4truckled.com and was really wanting to use them in this headlight, is it possible to use the Headlight and turn signal stock bulb socket with led wired in place of what in this headlight?

According to the Spyder website they use the H7 bulb for high/low. Looks like they knew to put an H13 connector on the outside, as that is what your truck has however the housing itself does call for an H7 bulb

http://www.spyderauto.com/product.ph...w-H7-(Included)

Now... i'm not sure if it's 1 bulb per headlight or 2. How do they work the high beam? Do they do what the 2014 HID projectors do where the little shroud MOVES? Projector low beams block the top of the bulb and on the HID projectors from Ford it moves out of the way for the highs.

Does the Spyder do that?

What bulb size did you get, ours I assume? H13s? Which won't work in your spyders

Yup then it does what the 2014 projectors do from Ford, it moves a shield out of the way... so H7 seems like it'll work. You'll probably want to pickup the H7 bulbs and our ballast relocation kit. Get the ones for the Anzo low beams. You won't need the boot since your headlights look like they have a big boot but you're going to want the H7 extension wire, silicon and wire connectors that come in the kit (unless you want to cut the H7 wire s yourself on your housing, then you don't need the kit... the kit just gives you the extension harness so you don't cut your own wires).

Out to work real nice for you. And you'll love that they match the fogs you just got

The H13 you got from us can't be retrofit really for the H7. They are really different. If you had say an H11 you MIGHT be able to modify that somehow but the H13 is a bit bigger base/etc... and has 4 diodes instead of 2

Yeah they are great. We originally threw them in JUST to see what happened back in January and as you know... VERY impressive light output. They've become such a hot seller we ran out of stock right now.

We have a new kit coming out soon for the fogs, our ZES series. They'll give you 4 color options in the box, ballast free (it's what i'm running now where i have yellow fog lights).

What you can do is buy the H7 as I wrote above and see if anybody wants to buy your H13 bulbs since they are only a few weeks old. Are they even used yet? Or still new in the box?

Ohh well we can exchange them for you then if you like. Just reply to the email chain we have going on and let me know you want to swap them out for the H7 bulbs.

Yeah Black Friday wiped us out... we're still waiting for the H10/9005 to come back in stock. Hopefully next week we get them.
