Default Fusion Fog Light Retro

Well my plans on building a set of fogs for my truck were put on hold waiting on TRS to bring their matchbox projectors back. I've been doing a ton of research looking for another projector to use, but not much luck. I've been hearing really great things about the Ford Fusion fog lights, so I bought a set and i'm going to try to "retrofit" them into my stock fog light housings. The good thing about the fusion fogs are; they are built so that they can be used as is. Meaning I wont have to hack away and mount them in my current fog lights, just the brackets. I'll probably put a piece of Lamin-x on the lenses just for good measure though.

Hopefully they should arrive mid week, I'll update with pics throughout the process to help anyone else in the future. As of right now there is very little info on this so hopefully it wont be too hard.

The fusion fogs work very nice with HID, I've seen them myself.

Where did you buy them from? . Also thought about these

http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-P1...60557687292%26

Taking that bracket off and fitting in to current fog housing. Or making a new bracket.

Good luck waiting to see how this works out for you!

These are the ones that I ended up buying http://www.ebay.com/itm/310560888516...=p5197.c0.m619

Hopefully I'll be able to fit the fusions into the current fog bracket, but if needed I'll fabricate a new one. I really think I can make it fit well into the stock bracket though.

That looks like a lot of fab work will need to be done for those to fit. Good luck, if you can get pics of the process do post!

Ok so I got my projectors in today and these things are the perfect size. I took the old fogs out of the housing for a lil size comparison.

Here is the stock fogs in the stock housing.

This is the back of the housing with the original fog removed.

The stock housing needs to have the back of it modified for the projectors to clear

What's the lens diameter of the fog projector?
