Hey guys, I just wanted to post a fast review. This is my first ford f150 and I came across the f150leds. I swapped out my fogs, license plate as well as added the running board lights. I had a shop put them on and the way to go is to wire them to the trunk light which is activated when you use your fob. Zero issues and look awesome.

How much did all that cost you from F150LEDS?

Everything was around 120.00 (fogs, running board lights, license plates (2)).

Default Driving to Alaska

I have a 2015 F-150 Platinum 4X4 that I will be driving from Lousiana to Alaska. I am thinking about upgrading my lighting. Should I upgrade the existing lights or install additional lighting to the front bumper. I would like to keep the accessories down to a minimum but get great lighting. Thanks

I'd recommend upgrading your headlights to LED with the conversion kits. Replacing the bulbs around your truck is also a popular upgrade. Just check out our signature for a link to our site. Or PM me if you need help finding something.

Er, well, I'd not spend any money on lights that are likely to get broken the first time you put your truck in the ditch after the first snow fall, if they make in one piece from the drive up.

Screw up the front end into a frozen snow bank first then get new lights.

You can't upgrade your lights if you already have LED from Ford. It's all proprietary. SO you can't just swap them out.

Do these running board lights come in other colors? Is there a way to wire them up so that they come on with the parking lights?

They only come in one color that I saw. I have them hooked up to the cargo light so when i lock and unlock the doors they go on and off with the interior lights.
