F150 LEDs
#51
Installed f150.com liscence plate and cargo LEDs. What a joke, they advertise them as crystal white and bright white and in reality they are so blue colored they look like Christmas lights. All my other led lights are white and these are blue. Putting my old bulbs back in, what a waste of time!

overpriced and I can with 99% certainty say they sent me a returned product. It came packaged like crap and one of the mounting blocks was not threaded.I think that's why someone returned to begin with. Also paid $74 for their reverse light bar and found it on Amazon for 16.99. that's my fault for not checking

Nice guy(s) there. Their LED headlight kit for the 2015 does not work properly, due to the design. I've since put together my own LED kits that work... but this was the first place I went.
But nice guys. Slightly overpriced now that I've started my own store and seen what things actually cost... but like I said, real nice responses from them. Willing to work with me on my issues I had.
In the end I had to send back my fog lights/headlights since the headlights leaked BADDLY, but they were very nice and took them back.
Can't say anything bad about them.
I don't sell led bars or led reverse kits YET on my store, but I do sell all the LED bulb kits they offer if you are curious tom. Just head to my site or send me a PM.

So I want to ditch the halogens, and put in some LED's. Since you guys are not a fan of their products, what kit or parts should I throw together to match the package they sell? I am new to this by the way, but the halogens are garbage and it is time for a change.

What year is your truck first of all?
On a 2015 truck you want H11 bulbs for your lows, 9005 for your high (H10 for your fogs).
The high beam/low beams will FIT but your factory boots may not fit.
See, like HID, the LED bulbs (the good ones) have a BALLAST, that you need to place somewhere. The f150leds kits have a big ballast, so they provide you with rubber boots that have a CUTOUT where the bulb wire connects to the ballast.
The problem I had with that, water got in, gave me a nice aquarium.
So what you want is an LED kit that has a SMALLER ballast, that you can HIDE within the actual headlight housing. That's the kit I found. You also need to ensure the bulbs are not too TALL. On the kit I'm using/selling the high beam bulb sits below the rubber boot. The ballast fits right inside the headlight housing. BINGO.
On the low-beams... I had some issues. I was able to squeeze the ballast in, but the bulb sat HIGH, which did not allow me to use the factory boot.
So I "modded" my own boot with some superglue and silicon... the concept worked... so what I'm doing is putting a bigger boot on. I've purchased 90mm boots from online (you only need 2, one for each low beam). They give me plenty of head room on the LED bulb and works like a charm.
That's what I did. You can put together your own kits/source everything or just buy a complete kit if you want that has it all. You won't save any money honestly buying each part separate... in fact... it will cost you more since you'll have to buy the boots (they are cheap enough but with shipping you spend about $15-$20 on boots... I paid $32 for the first time around for boots)

I just bought LED front marker lights, turn signal, and the raptor light kit. Their service was good, and things came quickly. The videos helped me, however I wasn't taking off door panels, or taking apart mirrors. The lights look good to me.

Reading through almost all responses, and I see a mix of positive and negative but not too many suggestions for other companies. Several people have gotten stuff off of Amazon, but I want to make sure I buy American and not any crap from China. What are some other high quality places to buy?

What are you looking for Elroy71? I sell everything F150LEDs sells, including other things they do not. I also sell Rigid LED light bars for those who want the "best"
I also sell the AuxBeam LED light bar, which is a great light bar that won't give you any issues. Also VERY good pricing on that.
I started my own company actually because of the issues I had with the F150LEDs LED Headlight kit. The bulbs were fine, a bulb is a bulb, you can't really mess that up. Various lumens/etc... depending on where you go (but I personally don't like the EXTREMELY BRIGHT led bulbs for rear taillights/etc...)
I built my own LED Headlight kit using issues I had with others and finding the best lumen output I could... that's where I came up with my LED Headlight Kit... it's a FANTASIC kit. You get everything you need for the Ford F-150's (the 2015+ require a bigger/larger boot, and I include that).
I'm Vycor btw... just using a different name, so yeah, same guy who had the issues with F150 and was determined to come up with a solution. A few weeks later, I had a solution and expanded my business to start selling quality LED lighting for trucks.
Give my site a look if you are looking for some LED light kits. If you don't see it, PM me, I sell all the top brands (it just takes a lot of work to add items to a website, i add little by little everyday based on recommendations and things people are looking for)
