I have a 2010 f150 xlt and it came with heated mirrors with turn signals but no puddle lamps. I was wondering about retrofitting some on there. are there empty connectors for that possibly in the housing already? I've seen some do it yourself threads about mirrors but no information on the actual wiring that's there and if there is none how hard is it to put some in. Anything is greatly appreciated

The wirings there already on the cabside, its empty on the mirror side. Youll have to remove a rubber plug and add the wire to the connector on the mirror side. Thats what I did whdn I added my led puddle lamps to my 12 xlt.

I used doorbell wiring as it is stiff to mate with the other connector, I just hot glued the wire in the mirror side of the connector and taped the wire to another so it wouldnt pop out of place! So far so good, for a little over a year now...

The wire youll want to mate up with on the cab side of the harness is purple!
