Drivers side HID not always firing

Drivers side HID not always firing
I just installed my DDM Tuning 35w slim ballast hi/low kit and the drivers side only fires about half the time on auto. If I turn them off/on after that it always works. I've double checked connections and the ground is good (low impedance and good voltage). What can I do to solve this? Would adding a capacitor help or do I have a bad ballast? The wiring kit seemed really cheap.... do the better quality kits work better?

When i ordered my ddm kit i ordered the hid harness and error eliminators extra because i didnt know if i would need them. With those both installed my lights did what yours are doing. I removed the hid harness and left the error eliminators on and they work fine now.

LOL. I didn't even mention retro, just that DDM is known for horrific quality control.

Their cheap HID products have also been linked to burning up automotive harnesses and starting fires.
Enjoy your poverty beams.

My kit came with the relay harness but not with the caps. On DDMTunings site they recommend installing a bigger fuse and switching the ballasts around to see if the problem follows.

I made the mistake of buying a set of DDM 3000k HID/Ballasts for my fog lights. I had the same trouble as you, after fooling with it and DDM trying to get some help I bought all new components from TRS. TRS has better quality products and the best customer service. I will never buy from DDM again...
I suggest you save some money and buy better quality parts!

so the people who are properly installing HID's are the idiots????
have fun with your cheap "drop in" HID kit that scatters light everywhere and blinds everyone on the road
