Default Sources for Lightning Headlights?

In the process of upgrading my headlights to HID's on my '02, F-150 Lariat FX4, I need to change over my stock headlight assembly. I have found the Lightning headlights (not doing the seperate turn/signal lights) from as little as $35.00 a pair to $250.00 a pair. Not knowing that much about them or what to look for, what are some reliable places that you have purchased them from?
Thanks

Depends how much you wanna spend really. I have an 03 FX4 F-150. I recently purchased smoked crystal halogen headlights and turn signals off of an Ebay store. They were $115 shipped to my door. However, I know you said you wanted "Lightning style" headlights. They are just crystal halogens, not HID's. HID's start at like $200 all the way up to $500. But I am very happy with the smoked crystal halogens in my F-150. They were brand new in box just like stated. Got them off of like GR Racer store or something like that. Just depends if you really want true HID's or just crystal halogen!

Thanks. I am picking up the HID conversion kits for the headlights, but currently have the stock lens and I know they wont work with the HID's/ Bad light deflection. I was directed towards the Lightning headlight assembly, but am so new at this, I am still trying to figure out what is called what and what I really need to make the conversation kit bulbs work properly, without bliniding everyone on the road.

I wen tot my local Ford dealership for some direction and all I got was a salesguy telling me "Why do you want to do that, its gonna cost you over a grand to change your lights over" and then he walked away. SO much for customer service from him.

I changed the heads on mine to the harley style. Different body style but same issue. The glare was actually not bad, but the light pattern was like a all over. Especially on bright. Now it is crisp and clean.

Are you looking for the black lights or clear?

Looking for clear. I didnt plan on doing the corner/turn sginal assembly as I am just looking for the headlight upgrade.

It sure seems like a lot of info for a newbie on this. I appreciate the all help. Looks like it is a little more than someone saying, for headlight assembly on your vehicle for HID's you want to go with XXXX and the conversation kit is YYYY and a good place to order from (reasonable and trustworthy) is ZZZZ. That would just be too perfect, but I am getting closer to that point. I am sooooooo looking forward to doing this. CORRECTLY.

Not too far off, it is the 97-03 + 04 heritage models that are hard to do IF you do a complete unit change cause the damn headlights for those years. For more info, I have a write up on here with pics for the install of the HID kit. Hopefully it will answer some questions for you.

And your last statment is all you need..

Is there a brand name or model number or some other identifier of a headlight assembly that will work with my F-150 and the HID's I want to install? I've heard of "Lightning" model, but are there other's? Does one work better with the HID's than another?
