Bump for this question...I'm going to run the angel eyes on a separate switch and am wondering if I should use a relay as well.

I believe its 180mA. TRS is now recommending that a relay is used.

Thanks Bil. I was probably going to use one anyway just to be on the safe side; but I definitely will now.

Steve's (from Washington state) retrofit is on the bench now. I thought I would post a couple pics of the Apollo shrouds with custom aluminum extensions painted with OEM White Platinum Pearl tri-coat paint. What a beautiful color....and with chrome reflector buckets, the reflections should be outstanding.

Steve, I'm following your build closely as I'm thinking of using the same tri-coat white on my shrouds. I've done PTM with it on my truck and it looks great.

Bil, thanks for posting that up. Great work as usual.

I received the new 110mm XBA rings today, and now I can offer accent lighting behind the original Apollo shroud. I will have to get very creative and fabricate "a shelf" for the ring to sit on, but that's not a problem for me! I've always liked the Apollo shroud and now, I like it even more.

I also received the MC-R shroud. I surprised no one has ever asked for this shroud, so I brought one pair in to check 'em out. I do wish the round light windows went all the way around though. The shrouds can be set on the projector to create semi evil eyes with the blanked out portion positioned from 8 to 1 o'clock.

This photo is a de-chromed Apollo shroud and the light will not shine through the plastic shroud once it's primed and painted.

been busy with a few things and forgot to mention how awesome the light output is on the FXR's. its a VERY WIDE beam and the more i try out the high beam the more amazed i am at how far and how intense the light goes. the FXR's are worth every extra penn they cost. the cut off on them looks so cool too. very bright and colorful and sharp!
