Use 3M tape to secure the ballasts to the housings.

My pics CLEARLY display where you can run the wires.

You don't have enough wire to make it a confusing process anyway. There's really only one way it's going to go in and you just make do with what's in your way.

Honestly man, it's beyond simple.
When I got mine, bill had already mounted the ballasts, I think geno as well said his came pre mounted.

.... Well the first three times I turned them on, nothing happened. Then, I cussed it, and remembered to put the fuse in.

I received the 2013 F150 OEM HID headlights today, in the FX version, gloss black bezels with flat black inner bezel that surrounds the projector. They look freakin' awesome.

It pained me to throw the first one into the oven to tear it all apart. One mistake would definitely be a costly mistake. I opened up the first headlight in about 3 minutes flat, and 15 minutes later, had all of the permaseal off. So far, so good.

My intention is to use all TRS components and make this plug 'n play, no OEM components, including wiring.

I have the EVOX-R projector mounted in place of the OEM projector. I have fabricated the 5Five ballasting mounting location, and a very kool cover for the large rectangular hole that the OEM ballast would have mounted to. Everything will be self contained as one unit.

The only thing left is to figure out the design. I was thinking of painting the inner bezel sterling grey metallic and tinting the amber reflector. Also XB LED angel eyes, do I go amber or white? They will fit very nicely around the projector. I would prefer white, but don't want to see the yellow ring when there off....

Sorry - No pics yet. It's a surprise!!!! lol

I will be back to working on your lights tomorrow KTM F150.

That's a tough one to predict yet SZ.

There's the price of the OEM lights, projector, ballasts, bulbs, OEM ballast cover plate, ballast mounting, wire harness and the tidbits required for P'nP, custom painting and of course labor. Without the custom fitting of a projector and shroud though, that drastically reduces time.

I would think close to $1800 - 2k isn't going to be far away from the final price.

I know exactly what you mean....and I'm kinda doing that with my F150. The ones I built that are like yours are off my truck now, and I have a full set of chrome retrofits on right now. Once I get these '13 lights done, they will be on as well as the LS460 retrofit that I can swap out if wanted! (once the other side is completed). It's an addiction.

I hear that I just finished my Q45s and since I have another set of headlights laying around I'm thinking about doing an LS460 retrofit with those.
