Based on all the comments and glowing reviews, I ordered some new headlights in April. Build date is sometime in August. Glad I found this forum. The headlight on my 2011 F150 are really lacking. I'm really looking forward to the new lights before Winter. Just wanted to provide input that what you folks say can make a difference to those of us trying to improve what we have. Thanks

Ok so as I wait for my set I'm currently working with a friend to hook his up. He doesn't want them connected to the DRL but rather a constant power that triggers when the ignition is turned on. How does he go about doing that? I know everyone is attaching for the most part to the turn signals or DRL but he doesn't want the halos and the turn with the DRL all on at the same time. Only his halos during the day. Thanks

Your friend will have to create a new circuit to have just his halos on independently. Maybe pick up a simple 9006 wire harness from TRS and add a dash mounted switch to control them.

What Bill said or if you have a 2013 or newer truck you tap into the side markers and have your dealership program the DRLs to the marker lights and then run with just LEDs by setting your lamp selection as parking lights. LEDs are lit but not the HIDs and you also have the option of using your fog lights too. It's not exactly what you intended but works as well.

On a 2011 F250, when using Morimoto h1 2.5" projectors, do I need to cut off the hump below the oem diffuser? It looks likes part of the reflector bowl. Also, do I need to sand down the oem h13 socket to allow space for the projector to thread on? Final question, do I need a dust cover or will the oem cover adequately protect the interior of the housing?

I received a pair of the newly released Apollo shrouds for the square D2S 3.0 projectors. This is what they look like on a Super Duty reflector bucket. I have to say, I like them quite a bit.

They fit nicely in rectangular or square buckets.

I did say I wanted some more options for the square projectors. It would appear that these new shrouds will allow a lot of light into the bucket area from a led ring inside the shroud. At the same time it would also appear that there is a perfect place for an external led square on the front of this shroud. Let's see, led inside, outside or perhaps both!
