No line jumping in the bilinvic camp!!!! Folks have paid their deposit and I respect that. I have been offered "premium pricing" requests from potential clients....and trust me, it's hard to turn down, but I know it's not right and respectfully decline.
The only reason my schedule will be altered is for warranty work. In the slim chance there is a problem with a headlight and it needs to come back to me, I will start the work required immediately to lessen the downtime for the client. I may end up working extra hours so that I can keep my schedule reasonably on track.

Spoken like a true business man, that is why you have the respect of the forum.

Curious to know, how long does the average build take, from basic to fully tricked out

If there is a OEM type build with no painting, I can have the retrofit completed in three days max. As soon as there is any painted parts, the build will take approximately 3 weeks minimum because I cannot seal the painted parts within the headlights until the paint has cured. Once the parts are cured though, reassembly takes a maximum of two days. Of course, I have multiple headlights on the go while paint is curing on other builds. Right now I have 5 builds in progress in various stages of their retrofit.

I guess that's what happened to the set you just posted, paint didn't dry and fumed the interior.

Indeed. I built these quite a number of months ago, so surely the paint is cured now!

I wouldn't expect anything less from Bil.

Why don't we just rephrase the question as I think some of the attention from recent posts has unfairly been directed at Bil through no fault of his own...

To those of you that have already placed your deposits and are "on deck" or close to it....hypothetically, how much would it take to get you to trade spots with someone at the end of the line?

Now where's that popcorn icon gone....

I can see it now, a whole new line of income for someone. You could be the PayPal of reservations in the Bil line.

I think this line jumping conversation should have ended when bil posted that as tempting as it may be he will not bump someone else. Not trying to be a kill joy, but what's the point in starting a conversation that has already been addressed. Who cares how much extra anyone would pay to be next in line if the builder won't bump anyone from queue. It's a recipe for disaster and could possibly cost bil business to discuss this any further. This thread is supposed to be for us to all be in awe of his work and to get ideas for future orders. It's not here to negotiate prices or to cause any headaches for bil or future customers.
