Wow.. it's amazing how much larger those 3" projectors look compared to the 2.5s! I'm very interested in seeing how these turn out. I bet the shrouds are massive!

The shrouds are the same, I just don't have to use the centric rings to reduce the circumference.

I spoke with TRS and the 3" FX-R projectors are very limited for the time being. I'm going to try to get a couple more shipped to me.

On another note, the Matchbox Mini projectors are now going to be a regularly stocked component. Now I've got to get some F150 fog light housings to play with!!!

Yes... I will do fogs, but I will experiment on mine first, I don't wan't to wreak havoc on client's housings. I have couple pair of expensive f150 headlights sitting in my shop that are junk - in order to get things right!!!

I think I will do fogs first. How long to do headlights mine are on a 11 fx4 and already have impact film on them so I would want them back.

All depends on what you want done...a week tops for a build, currently booking into into September now. Also keep in mind the shipping time before and after.

Trust me guys, I'm frustrated with the wait time as well.

The thought of retiring from a very secure and extremely well paid job to start retrofitting is scary. There's so many "what ifs" that I can't answer. It's like I have been institutionalized over the last 21 years being in the Canadian Navy...it's like my comfort zone. But, the thought of working at home, being my own boss turns my crank...and I really enjoy retrofitting. I am going to be investigating my options for retiring, i.e., benefits, pension, etc. Keep in mind, I'm only 42 years old and have a family...lots of time left in the working world, but not enough time in the day for two full time jobs, like i'm doing now!

With that being said, I ask for your patience. I will not rush my work and sacrifice quality workmanship.

I'll keep you guys in the loop if I decide to pull the plug on the Navy.....pun intended!!!
