Default Ballast in HID Lights Keeps Burning Out

I've been having a lot of issues with my driver side HID headlight the few months. First it was flickering.. brought it in and it got fixed. 2 weeks later the same thing.. it was flickering except this time it just went out all together. And the 3rd, 4th, and 5th time I brought it to Ford it just shuts off once I put the truck in gear.

Anyone else having these issues? I have been to Ford 5 times and they are already replaced the ballast once and now they are telling me it is a computer issue from an update they must of done. They are trying to convince me to go back to stock lights but that is going to be hard to do after being use to the HID. I am up for suggestions on a different set of lights that are better/comparable to the HID's.

Thanks!

So you have the stock oem hids? Or is some part of the setup upgraded?

They are upgraded. I purchased the truck with them already installed so I am not sure what kind.
