Pull the mirror off the front carefully then loosen 4 torx screws behind it and the plastic shell pops off enabling you to tap into the rear firing LEDs with weatherproof buttsplices. Not hard at all!

Back when I worked at the dealer I had really rotten luck putting the mirror back in because of those goofy plastic ball stems they were attached with.

Have they changed the way the mirror attaches?

When you say "pull off", does this refer to the black plastic face? I have ordered the led's and want to be certain that I am not pulling something off that cannot be snapped back on!

Great little project I might add.

BTW - in your video it looked like you have LED's in your front facing turn signals. Where did you get those and are thet brighter than OEM with the parking lights on?

Thanks

.
There's three tabs that enable removing the Mirrors Glass, two at the bottom, one at top! Insert a medium tip flat screwdriver between the mirrors mounting tab and the mirror motor, gently twist the screwdriver! You'll here a little pop meaning that tab is free from the motor, continue with the other two tabs! Once done pull mirror glass from mirror motor.

Next Remove 4 torx screws, this will allow the front mirror plastic (holding in the orange reflector) and mirror cap to be removed gaining access to the oem blinker wires in the mirror(green for +, black for-) use either wire taps or heat shrink tubing for your splice!

Make sure everything's functioning and then just reassemble! Pretty Easy process, just a little nerve racking removing the mirror glass!

Also some have tapped into the oem blinker wires by gaining access through the
Puddle Lamps cutout on the bottom of the mirror as well! Hope this helps...

Thats what this mod is the Anzo Front reflector Replacement blinkers, these trucks don't come that way from the factory! Joseph and op cut the orange reflector and add a strip of leds to turn the Reflector into a blinker! And to answer your question the Anzo's are Brighter than the modded Oem reflector version by 3x... If thats what you were asking!
