All things HID here!!!

I'm looking for a retrofit HID kit for my 2006 F150, so I've been reading through this thread for a while and must admit I'm having a really hard time understanding a lot of it.
From what I've gathered, I should definitely not buy one of the HID kits that simply add HID bulbs into stock housing (since the projector is made for halogen bulbs).
However, I still have no idea where to look for an actual retrofit kit.
I've never worked with lighting before so I want a "plug and play" retrofit (or as close as I can get to one).
I've looked around at some of the people who do retrofits on this forum but they all seem to be REALLY expensive. I'm ideally not looking to spend more than $600 on this if possible.
Can someone give me some general information on which retailers I should be looking at?

Everything you need will be at www.theretrofitsource.com
You can get a complete retrofitkit
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...ofit-kits.html
What you want to do is cross reference what others are using in their housings. Make note of whats widely used and that'll help a lot.
For $325 the morimoto BiXenon Mini Kit will get you the projector, ballast, igniter, relay kit, bulbs, and shroud.
Then from there it's best to use a 2nd set of headlights to do your retro so you're never without headlights, and if theres ever a problem or you sell your truck you can take off the lights, sell them, and recoup some money.
It's not a project that you want to rush, but the more you research, the more will make sense.
Also check out www.hidplanet.com which is what TRS Started from, basically. There are a ton of threads that'll help you figure out what is what.
If you make a thread of your retrofit you can always ask questions and people will chime in! Never be afraid to ask if you are unsure

Wellsir, reckon ye problem's the quality (as in lack thereof) o' the kit ye's runnin' in the first place. Son - ye simply bought the wrong equipment, is all. Yer new - Ol' Bubber gits that - yungins make mistakes - but they's a way t' fix that.
If'n it whur me, the best thang to do is t' remove thet cheap chinglish junk and donate it to the recyclers, then go a-shoppin' hyur:
Supplies: www.theretrofitsource.com
Knowledge hyur: www.hidplanet.com

And huyr:https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...fitsource&sm=1
And huyr: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/diy...on-guides.html
And huyr's why you should never run PnP in ye heads: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...s/Hid/HID.html
Meanwhile - to try to isolate the problem, an' gitche back on yer feet so ye can do it right - try a new harness - OR install a harness if ye ain't runnin' on - it's required. Check ye grounds as well.
Good luck!
