So you're saying I could get one of those headlights with the "bad" projector, but then purchase a separate housing itself that would properly scatter the light so I do not blind oncoming traffic?

Could you link to what you meant?

Sort of. You get the headlights, then take the lens off, remove the crappy projector, and install the much better one.

It's more work than that. You need to know what your doing.

Well true, I'll have to dig it up but I remember seeing a thread on here that had a VERY detailed guide on how to convert.

Here's a thread on retro's

I did a lot of reading/research before doing my retrofit. It was fun to do but lots of little stuff you have to figure out on your own as you go.

Is there a big difference between the DDM tuning "Ultra HID kits" vs. the slim kit?

Don't get DDM unless you're only going to use it off road. The slim kit has smaller ballasts, that's it.

Hi all, new to the forum and I have a tech question for you all out there. I just added some hid light kits to my 05 f150 and I belive I am having an issue with the drl not supplying enough voltage to the ballast. I have done some looking on this forum as a guest and now as a member I need some advice. The kit I installed is from ddm 55w 8000k .
