All things HID here!!!

They create more heat in a smaller area than halogen. Halogen is hotter, but that heat is spread out more than with HID, so venting allows that more localized heat to dissipate easier.
Its benefit is more noticeable in wet/cold climates. In the desert you won't ever see the added ventings purpose - but if you drive in conditions that may cause fogging then the extra venting will reduce the amount of fogging and its duration.

Lol.
Get halos. Orange HIDs would be totally useless, you wouldn't be able to see ****.

just bought an 01 Harley edition and it has some halo projector Hid lights... looks pretty cobbled, the halos were hooked up at one time because they had connectors on them, but there was no place to plug them in, so I spliced them into the parking lights... I feel that the HID's are not very bright though...below is a pic of the ballast, could they be bad? I also have interference in my radio with the lights on... what would be a good quality replacement ballast if they are bad? thanks,
Ryan

Theretrofitsource.com
Those MAY not be terrible ballasts (but they could be) my guess is the bulbs - and there's a possibility that they're not truly 35W.
Go to that site and you'll know you're getting a quality product with a good US company to back it.

That's a good question.
All I've done is compared my old (like yours) to new morimoto ones from TRS - that's new bulbs and ballasts and the difference was pretty insane.
But to test them without something to compare to, idk, I'd just replace them with something that I KNEW had a strictly followed standard.

Hey guys, I'm about to purchase a pair of DDM tuning 8000k H13 hids. Was wondering if yellow halogen fog light bulbs would look weird with that or if anyone has pics of that particular combo? Or opinions and advice are welcome too. thanks!

8000k is pretty purple & your going to lose a lot of light compared to a 4000-6000k bulb. Personally I like the 8000k color but didn't want to sacrifice on usable light so I went with 6000k for my heads and fogs. Also, my first heads were ddm tuning and they were a horrible excuse for hid lights, if I would have known then that I could have retrofitted my own for a little more cash I would have not wasted my time. Either way, good luck and keep us posted on what you did, pics, & reviews!
