I used heavy duty zip ties and tied them in two directions. That along with double sided tape should be solid.

I always laugh at all the pnp hatred, as all the early cars(mid to late 90s) with hids did not have projectors but were essentially just regular halogen bulb housings with Phillips bulbs and ballasts added. It's no different than putting in a higher wattage bulb.

I am sorry, but you are incredibly misinformed. Yes, some HID xenon bulbs are used with reflector housings (2nd gen prius, late 90s Lexus, etc). HOWEVER, it is far different from tossing HIDs into your F150 housing.

The housings that come with factory HID in reflectors have reflectors that are specifically designed for the gas orb of the HID capsule. This means each peice of the reflectors is curved in a way to reflect the light of the orb to the desired destination (the road). It is much like any other technology, it quickly evolves and the use of projectors brings out much better performance (which is why tons of factory cars come with projectors for halogen as well, not just HID).

A halogen reflector, like the one on your F150, has each chrome piece of the reflector curved to reflect the illuminated straight-line filament of the halogen bulb, NOT the large orb of the xenon HID bulb. So, fitting this halogen reflector with a light source that is much larger than the tiny filament of the factory halogen is going to create light refraction on the curves (what we call glare). This is what projects light into random directions and into the eyes of oncoming traffic. Add to it the fact that xenon is usually 2-3 times more intense and brighter than the halogen, and the glare becomes a major hassle. So, it is MUCH different than just putting in a higher wattage bulb.

Just posting the science behind it it, not attacking anyone.

Default Sickhids.com

Does anybody have projection headlights built by Brian at Sickhids.com on their 2009-2012 ford? If so, could you please post some pics? Thanks.

Use the search option on the site. There is a guy who just got his back. Paid $900 he said plus it was a 6-8 months turn around
