Sorry you had such a bad experience Greg. I ordered mine from Third Gear Performance and didn't have a problem, it was all plug and play and came with the relay to prevent flickering.
how much research did you do before ordering yours? its a pretty well known fact that fords need a relay to prevent flickering, our headlights scatter the light pretty bad, and the auto headlights (with the unlock) have to be shut off by following the instructions in your owners manual.

I ordered a set of the clear SVT style headlights on friday and am lookin to get Hid's plan on ordering them from hiddirect/shaar. Anybody out there that has hid's in the regular clear headlamps? If so do they work alright as far as bulb fitment and light pattern? And for anybody out there with hid's on a 97-03 where is a good place to mount the ballasts for the fogs and heads? Any help would be appreciated....thanks in advance ffor the help

Also forgot to ask....shaar on the hiddirect website there is no bulb type 9145 for the fogs on an 97-03 f150. Is there another one that will work or do I have to purchase it elsewhere?????

The fogs are actually 9140 also known as H10.

There is no such thing as "light pattern" without projectors...

Correction - there is no such thing as sharp cutoff without projectors. There are many light patterns with any type of headlight housing.

The majority of my night trips are5 to 10 minute trips. Occasionally I travel a few hours at night but that is only about once a month.

Are these short cycles hard on hid bulbs and or ballasts?
