First off, thanks for the help! Whether is pointing me to another post or if you have any tips. I just bought this HID kit from protuninglab and tried a number of times to get it installed. Watched videos and checked out diagrams, even had a rep from their company try and help out which was a bust. No HID installation video on a Ford had these bulbs with the needle pointed wires. There is no place for me to plug them into on my truck (2004 F150)

The rep said they can plug into the trucks original wiring, that didn't work. The wires just slip right out. He suggested taping them in there so they didn't move.. I don't think so, it shouldn't have to look like that. There was no harness or connector that was sent with the package. My question is how do I get these bulbs installed correctly?? These wires are driving me crazy.

I have a question. Currently on my retrofit I am running Morimoto 5Five DSP ballasts and Morimoto 35w 5000k bulbs. Since I am running 50w ballasts already, what would happen if I got 50w 5000k bulbs and used them for my headlights? Would they be too bright? Is that why 50w bulbs are used primarily for fog lights? Just curious. The brighter the lights the better in my opinion.

I am looking into jumping on the HID train for headlights and fogs, but have no idea what to get and where. I started reading the thread but going out of town for a bit so any help on this. I'm not technically savvy....i can remove the light assemblies and do the plug n play thing, but as said just don't know where to look and with all the models out there what to go with. Any help on what to buy and where to get it in Canada? Thanks !!!

Retrofits are MUCH better than plug n play kits. However, if you have never built a retrofit before I definitely suggest having someone who knows what they're doing build one for you such as bilinvic who's on here.

would he ship to canada and whats the price range? I'm also looking at getting some rigids so it would be either or right now for the budget. How easy to install after they are retro fitted, do you just plug back into the original light plug?

It's easy once the retrofit is built. He will send you a new wiring harness with the kit and everything plugs in. You'll just have to connect the harness to the battery and to a ground. Everything else is plug n play basically. Retrofits are amazing.

Prices vary depending on how "fancy" you want the retrofit. He has a thread on here.

I installed my ddmtunning 35w 5000k hids yesterday. Driving last night and all of the sudden my driver side mirror indicator light and my turn signal arrows light up and stay lit. Messed with the hazard button and it went away (probably just a coincidence). It happened 3 times. Any thoughts, input, or solutions would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
