Default Aftermarket HIDs flickering

Ok I have a 06 4.6 xlt. I have 6000k bulbs but I forgot what brand ballasts I got it doesn't say, they are slim ballasts and I believe 55w. I had bought 5000k with these ballasts and never had a problem switched to 6000k because one of the 5000k started to get discolored, sometimes it will flicker sometimes and sometimes it's awesome. It seems to be worse under high load applications such has heater/ac, stereo w/subs 500watts rms at half throttle. But will notice flickering at idle with everything off. I do have a relay kit for it as well. Battery is about 3 yrs old. Original alternator 155k miles. Running voltage is about 13.7 with all accessories on at just above idle 900-1100 Rpms. It's getting annoying the last thing I want to do is get a different brand ballasts. Oh I also switched ballasts from one side to the other I only get the problem on the driver side. I haven't tried a different ground yet though I will try that next though. Thanks

Your battery might be getting old and might be getting weaker.
Try buying a new battery, I had to replace the battery in my 06 at about 60k.

Yeah I might have to do a amp draw test on it and see if it passes or not. It has been a full year since I got the HIDs.

Could be a bad ballast. I've never had luck myself with the slim ballast

Well I had switched the ballasts around and still the problem is on the driverside. I have no idea now.

Reading your description it sounds like the problem started when you switched bulbs. Have you tried switching them back?
