Default Aftermarket Headlights

I have a 2012 F150 Lariat and finally have enough saved up to start doing some modifications to it. I want to get a pair of aftermarket projector headlights like these from Pro Tunning Lab. My question is: How well are they built and how good do they light up the road? I mostly want them for aesthetics but also want them to light up better than the factory headlights. Should I avoid going this route? I am new to all this and I would like someone to help me find a good starting point.

I'm going to say that I've noticed no one really digs aftermarket projectors. Most are going to say go with a retrofit for output and visibility reasons. I've been looking at a set of spyder heads that you can do a quick retrofit to that will be about 300 bucks give or take out the door.

What exactly is a retrofit? Could you post a link to the spyder headlights you mentioned?

Basically its fitting a real nice projector inside of your headlight housing. Mainly for the do it yourself crowd. They look sweet i just cant see myself being able to pull it off as well as others so thats why im going with the spyders and doing a quick kit. Mine are a little different since I have an 04 and you have a 12 but just google spyder headlights for a 2012 f150 and youll find some. Theres a good how to video on how to retrofit the spyders on your model truck on theretrosource.com website.

Both of these are TOP NOTCH choices. While on the pricey side, both Dawson's and Bil's work is outstanding and 100% professional.

There is a new vendor here, Yukes Retrofits (or something there near it). I just saw his thread in the vendor showplace. Heard decent things of him too.

Don't cheap out on this. I know first hand the consequences of trying to save a few $$$. It's nothing but a headache. Do it right the first time.
