800k HID's

What is the point of the relay? I rewired some fog lights I had because they wanted it hooked up to the parking lights, and a power... I junked everything it came with and wired them myself, with my own switch, etc... Works great. I do home electrical work so I wired it like I would a normal light switch.

Personally I wouldent go with 8000k way to blue but thats just my opnion I have 4300k and I am very very happy with them I could settle with 6000k but I wanted them to be the brightest becasue I do alot of highway driving and dirt road driving.

You do not want to get 8000k lights... you will hurt people's eyes and you will not get the true effect of the HID... 5000k or 6000k is as high as you want to go... at 8000k you will blind on coming traffic and you will have as much usable light as a halogen... anything higher and you have less visible light as a halogen and you will just blind people... once you get below 4300k you also have less visible light, but its not as blinding to people... so try to stay like I said in the 5000k-6000k realm... if you are going to do fogs though going below 4300k is good because the light in that spectrum cuts through incliment weather very well so fog, snow, rain, whatever its good to have it
and just FYI... bi-xenon are pointless... the way a high-beam is designed to work and HID will not work properly... you will actually see better with your low beams on... look at all the luxury vehicles that come standard with HID's and they all have halogen high beams for a reason... just a little information for you to think about... I have done a ton of research when it comes to the HID do's and dont's

(I am working on a set of these for my truck. Volvo XC90 guts/lens retrofitted into stock housings.)

you're almost right... there are a few of the new companies, high end of course, that have all the fancy electronics to adjust the reflectors and what not... but in most cases.. 99% of them, if its a factory HID, their high beam is still halogen...
these trucks do not have a way to adjust the reflector unless like you are doing you buy an overly expensive set of headlights and relays and tear them apart and put them back together and even if you do run an HID hi-beam, you wont see any better, you'll actually see worse than your low beams that are HID... that is my point... is that an HID hi-beam is pointless

the reflector in the factory housing isnt designed for that type of light so the HID hi-beam just scatters light everywhere, it doesnt keep it concentrated and you will have less visibility that if you were to use a halogen

Hi, I just recently bought a hid bi xenon kit. I plugged everything in and it works great. It's the 8000k 9007 bulbs. The only thing I notice is when I have the low beams on, the high beam indicator lights up in my in my dash panel. and when I hit the switch to take off the high indicator my high beams go on. can someone help me out or have any suggestions thank you. I have a 2001 f-150 lariat.
