Default 4x4TruckLEDs 2 thumbs up!

I recently purchased new headlight bulbs from 4x4TruckLEDs.com The light from these bulbs is 100x better than the stock bulbs on my 2012 FX4. I wanted to improve my headlights but didn't want to go through the expense & complexity with projector retrofits. At $180. these LED bulbs are a great solution. The light from these bulbs is a pure clean white with much better visibility on both low & high beams. After adjusting the beam height on a wall, the Cutoff is great, they do not bother oncoming drivers. I am stoked with my new headlights and now look forward to driving at night. Two thumbs up

Minor critique: The bulbs did not come with F150 specific instructions. The manufacturers instructions provided are reversed for our trucks. Also, the connector pins need to be adjusted slightly to connect. Once these minor issues were sorted and the headlights leveled on a wall, the difference is amazing. Highly recommended!

I also got the XP50 Reverse light LED bulbs and they are a nice improvement as well. Thank you 4x4TruckLED's!

Glad you like them. Did you reverse what the instructions said? A guy with a 2008 (and another year, I forgot what year) said it works better if you do OPPOSITE what the instructions say as far as alignment (bulbs still fire out the left/right)... this is what he showed me:

Yes, that's what I did. I reversed the manufacturers instructions & installed according to your diagram above.

Did you still leave the bulbs at 3 and 9 o'clock like the diagram or position them at 12 and 6?

OK, I received the xhp50 leds, but not sure on the orientation (for a 2012). Should the leds be positioned so the little reflectors are pointing inward towards the grill?

Diodes at 3 and 9

Reflector at the top (although one member said he had better luck with it at the bottom)

I agree with you Mmac, I have these on my 16 and the Raptor Retrofit on my 13 and I like the light output on my 16 better and no one can argue with the price difference.

copy on the diodes. when you say reflector at the top, it will be reflecting downwards (open side down), correct?

To be clear, are you advocating that the installation in an 11-14 should match what is shown in the picture in the red circle (labeled as "incorrect")? Mine has them installed per the actual directions and never flipped them as your picture suggests. I am wondering if mine are currently backwards?
