Default 4300k: How white is it?

I have 6k in my heads and 8k in my fogs currently. First off my light output is fine. I do find that the ever so slightly "blue" color of my lights bothers me on longs rides. I was planning on changing my heads to 4300k or 5000k and my fogs to 3000k for bad weather.

Which brings me to my next point, when it is foggy my 6k heads just reflect off of everything -and yes, I do have projectors that are properly aimed-. Would 4300k not do this? What about the 5000k?

TLDR version: Are 4300 k HID's more white than your traditional halogen bulb? Would 4300k or 5000k be better? I don't want ANY blue!

Cheers

4300K is the brightest white you can get. 5000K would be moving into the "blueish" area although more white than blue. The higher number you go goes from White - Blue - Purple - Pink. 3000k is is yellow in color, which is better for fog IMO.

That's what I had figured. One other question, I notice that BMW's and the like often have a slightly whiter color to their headlights. Someone told me that they use a bulb that is close to 5000k as apposed to the industry standard 4300k. Is that true?

I have a morimoto kit in my heads so the 6,000k bulbs are nicely built. Would it be worth the extra money to go ahead and buy the 4300 or 5000k bulbs for my heads and the 3000k bulbs for my fogs from TRS again? It would be almost 90 dollars, and I can get some bulbs on ebay for like 22 dollars for all four. Are the ones from TRS that much better??

Was afraid of that. I guess I am going to order some soon. May actually keep the 6k in the heads, but my 8k in the fogs has to go. Would 6k heads and 3k fogs look okay? My 6k's are very white when looked at, maybe just 1% blueish colored.
