Why don't you stick to the topic rather then, again, trying to be one of those "hijacker's" who think that EVERY SINGLE Led bulb install is WRONG. I got news for you, not everybody can afford the $1600 price tag they want for new lights. news for you, some installations work JUST FINE using led bulbs

I'm not saying new housings wouldn't work better, they would, same way high performance tires would work better, they just do. But not everybody can afford those big expensive tires, so they get what they can afford, same for lights.

They are LEGAL, you need to align them and control the pattern.

They aren't legal, trust me. You cant control a scattered pattern. 1600? Only with a lot of extras. I've been down the PnP rpad, it sucks.

We're saying unless you're willing to spend the money to properly focus the light, keep to halogens.

No it's $1600 without the extras... the Raptor guys are charging that. Otherwise show me a link to housings designed for LED for the 2015 F-150

There you go. What I was talking was retrofitting the factory housings. You can do it for well under 1600. Plus, a good HID projector will be better than factory.

You can't put the Ford OEM LED housing in a halogen equipped truck... the wiring does not match up... so that's $1,300 in housings, that can't connect to the factory wiring harness

Fair enough. Then retrofit. Cheaper, and better than factory lighting. Can't beat an HID retrofit.

Where are you finding retrofit HID housings for the 2015 Ford F-150? I've only seen 2014 and earlier in my research... the plan was to use the LED bulbs till I got enough $$ together for the LED OEM housings, with the wiring kits... but my other question I've yet to find an answer on, SHOULD i go with the LED Raptor kits... what happens when a bulb goes out. Is that field replaceable, if so, what model # for the LED bulb, what manufacturer, and is it as simple as swapping out a bulb?

Here is the harness btw:

http://www.morimotohid.com/component...sion-2009.html

(UPDATE: HIS IS NOT THE ACTUAL HARNESS for 2015, but you get the idea)

So that's $1,300 for lights, $120 for harness = $1450 - so I save $150... this is probably all that the raptor retrofit guys are doing. Easy enough, but still pricey. Unless we have a Ford guy on here who can get us special pricing perhaps on the OEM lights

The way some on here talk, you'd think Ford was in some way falling short on light output.

So, let's clarify something...Ford could easily build it's trucks with much brighter lights...but it doesn't. You know why?

Because they would not meet DOT compliance.

So if your vision is so poor that you need to strap on a couple of illegal lights so bright that oncoming traffic is negatively impacted...then maybe you should be a passenger instead of a driver!

LED and HID lights in halogen housings are not DOT compliant...but hey...until you can afford it we'll keep our sunglasses close by.
