No you do not need this harness. You pay an extra $20 dollars i believe for the hi/lo kit. you don't need that harness for 2009-2010 f150. not sure about other years. I just googled "ddmtuning wiring harness" or something. and found similar forum results somewher eelse.

It comes with all the stuff you need without adding that harness.

for anyone who needs a little more help. Maybe this can help you. Just a quick sketch in paint of how and where everything is wired.

Personally, I couldn't tell you. Not sure if they are interchangeable. Why do you have a kit with no bulbs and no harness? Its not really much of a kit then lol it would just be 2 HID ballasts.

oh did you buy the bi-xenon bulbs. THey are hi/lo bulbs but the hi-beams are halogen bulbs. different type. I think the ones I have are mechanical. they must flip up or something because I can hear them changing from hi to low.

you might as well buy the right stuff and start from scratch lol I dont know where you got your lights but for 130 bucks. 2 kits. how can you go wrong. Sometimes replacement halogen bulbs can cost that much.

Just my 2cents

DO you have a part number or numbers for the kit you bought? I was on DDM's website and couldn't find a complet kit for our trucks. Thanks.

I used the ddm 5000k 55watt h13 hi/low kit (headlights) and the 55watt h10 kit (fogs). The 55watt does come with a wiring harness for the h13 to deal with drl's.

Part numbers of the kits were DDM55W.H13HiLo.5000K and DDM55W.H10.5000K

So, HONESTLY, how bad does the light pattern scatter? (just headlights )

I've seen some HID in OEM headlights that just an absolutely horrific pattern, and I've seen some that had a great pattern. I see a colorado pretty consistently who's pattern resembles a maglight twisted out to the flood position, and a Excursion who's pattern has about 10' of usable light on the ground and the rest goes straight up.

I finally ordered the exact same setup as the OP for my 2010 Platinum. They are arriving tomorrow. Being in Canada, I have to deal with the DRL as well. Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have any issues.
