Default 2008 FX2 Screw retrograding headlights

I had a set of Spyder halo/projector headlights for a while. I wasn't real happy with the lack of brightness from the halos. I also run HID so switching from high to low was stupid since the other HID bulbs had to heat up. Luckily I kept my stock lights when I installed the aftermarket ones. Now I'm running a single HID bulb that is H/L, and Oracle Technologies white halos.

I had to put them in the oven for 10-15min (after removing all the bulbs) to soften the sealant, then gently pry and pull apart. Mine were grey so I taped off all the silver areas and a strip on my parking lights, scuffed them and sprayed them black.

I drilled a hole a little bigger than the plug for the halo. Be careful not go to deep.

Blinker/marker light is a bit tricky bc of the angle and space. If you try to push to hard you'll stab yourself in the leg with the drill!!
*NOTICE THE TAPE ON THE WIRE! EACH HALO HAS IT'S OWN PERSONAL RESISTOR. DO NOT MIX THEM UP*

The halos come with 3M backing. Since it's a pain to take it apart again, I used 60sec epoxy. take a little on the end of something and lightly dap it around the back of the halo. Carefully line up, press and hold till it won't move.

On the back cover drill a hole for your wire to come out

Same for the high

after your epoxy is dry, hook them up to your wires and test them before sealing your headlights back together.

The wire going from the lights to the resistor is super short for some reason. so keep that in mind when you running your wires.
