I remembered the thread, but no I did not have it saved.
The best way of searching the forum is actually NOT by using the forum search bar. I went to google and typed in:
site:f150forum.com e 20 lower bumper
Basically it limits all results to the forum, and whatever your key words were.

The SR-Q lights are VERY bright. They are more than enough for the average user, great for backing up, and great as auxiliary lights. That being said, I use mine as area lighting A LOT. While the Diffused pattern produces an amazing spread of light, it does reduce range. When camping on the beach, or bombing through open fields, you really appreciate that increased range that goes along with LITERALLY 2X the lumens. 6,000 lumens total vs. 3,000 lumens total.
It comes down to needs, wants, and ability.
I say, if you can afford it, get the 2's. Just because they're awesome. If you don't feel like spending that much, then the standard SR-Q backup kit will do just fine and you'll still be very happy.
Considered flush mounting them to the bumper?

Here's some output shots from an iPhone 5...
Low Beams:
High Beams w/20" SR Spot/Flood
I don't normally run the Duallys unless I'm in the middle of nowhere because they are not relayed into my high beams.
I'm thinking of putting more on...I'm thinking of pulling the fog housings and putting 2 SR-M's in for fog and rough weather. Will probably move the SR to the top bars and get a 20" E2 or plant a 30" Combo b/t the top two bars. Haven't decided yet.
While having that done, they will all get rewired to a central fuse box and all the relays will be in one location. They aren't now because I set them up at different times.
Now if I could just get those tow mirrors...LOL. I'm on the email waiting/notification list because I wasn't fast enough.

Do it, do it. You will NOT regret it. Even better, use the SR-Q's AND the SR-Q2's! Call them tailgater justice lights!

I was browsing this thread today and looking at all the awesome setups, and I think my next Rigid purchase will be a pair of D2's, Driving pattern. I think they'd be awesome in the top corners of the grille, and I'd move my Dually Spots down to the bumper on either side of the license plate like I used to have them.
Before I purchase the D2's, I gotta ask, is it worth the extra money to buy a pair of D2's over a pair of Dually's?

I would say YES, not for the lumens output increase, but because the "Driving" beam is excellent.
For those who do not know, the driving beam has a very unique pattern. It spreads the light out wide horizontally like a flood light, but focuses the vertical axis into a narrower field of view. This makes for a horizontally stretched oval shaped hotspot rather than just a big circle.
IMO it is the most usable beam pattern I've seen. Mine are probably going in the fog holes. So yes, I would say it's worth it. The extra 3,000 lumens is just a bonus
