On down the highway

I'm about sold on the rear rigids because every night I need to back into a long dark driveway and can't see squat with the backup camera unless I ride the brake lights.
I read in another thread that the rigids put a glare on the camera screen..someone posted they had to custom make light shields ...
Can anyone chime in on how these lights work with the camera and if bumper mount or under truck mount is best for the camera? ?
Thanks!

Under bumper or flush mount give you maximum light output, but under truck will help eliminate the glare. Just make sure you go with diffused SR-Q's rather than Flood SR-Q's. You can use Duallys but as reverse lights, the SR-Q's light pattern will work better for you.
Here's some install info along with some pics of mine. https://www.f150forum.com/f75/rigid-...9-14-a-259978/

So, after seeing some of the pictures, I'm going to assume the 30" SR is going to fit just fine in my 13 FX4 Grill. The question I have: Can I mount it in the upper gap, between the C's without cutting out the plastic mesh?

Yes a 30" SR would fit perfectly up there, no cutting required. PM TAP Auto for pricing.

Rigid A series Rock lights and AMP step light LED combo
So my originally "waterproof" LED light strips burned out that I had mounted for my AMP step lighting.
In searching for a more robust LED light for this use I didn't come up with much in the LED strip form factor.
Since I have mounted Rigid's all over my truck now I thought I would look into their A series LED's .
I purchased the high power version in cool white and mounted them between the door and the crimped body edge on the bottom. I initially was going to hide them completely under the AMP step but since they lights are so bright I wanted to also use them for area lighting too.
This is the main reason I have them mounted there is so you can see the light with steps not deployed. They are held on with 3M tape and WILL NOT be coming off without serious effort and force.
So I used a relay and used both the AMP step trigger wire and also the dome trigger wire. This way they obviously come on when I open the door and the steps deploy but also when I unlock my door with my iphone or key fob. The LED's under the mirror (puddle lights) are okay but not amazing, even with 5W cree LEDS in them so that is why I wanted more area lighting on entry.
Anyway, just another idea for mounting Rigid lights that prove to be very useful for me anyway.
Enjoy
Danny
2 High Power Cool White A series mounted on each side of the truck
still able to see the LED's in broad daylight
Cant even see the mirror puddle light with these on
Now that is area lighting....
I can see my steps

That's a very cool way of using the A-Series lights! Looks like an extremely clean install, definitely one of those "should've been from the factory" mods.
