@dannytexas

Just the thread I was looking for! Great thread gonefxcrazy, giving me all sorts of ideas... I was actually trying to figure out what kind of light bar I could put in the front bumper (didn't want to block the flow to the IC for my EB) - now I know. The 20" SR will be perfect. And that curved Rigid roof bar is calling my name.. good heavens I don't even want to know what that things costs!

The flush-mount Rigids in the rear bumper look awesome, great look, very well done. Going to have to copy that idea

Default Found something to do with my SRQ-2 lights --Hood Mount

So I bought a pair of driving SRQ-2 lights for my Mustang fogs. Turns out they are way to bright and there is no way I can run them on the street as fogs, at least not with traffic around.
So, I didn't want a pair of Rigid's just sitting in the garage.

I looked at cutting into the front bumper or facia to mount them but wanted them up higher to compliment my SR-30 grill mounted bar.
I decided to go with a pair of hood mounts and found a company, TexasMotorWorx, which makes a set like the Outlaw brand. Being that they are local I try and keep cash in the state where possible.
These mount on to the trucks existing hinge mounts as you have seen others post on here. I know most have done D series lights here but I wanted something more sleek and not so, well, square.
These lower profile SRQ-2 fit the bill perfectly.
I have them pointed slightly outward on each side.
I can confirm there is no wind noise at speed and negligible reflection off the hood, they work better than I anticipated.
Now when I hit my brights I get a strong beam in the center from the SR-30 LED bar and now I can see great on the shoulders left and right from the SRQ-2 lights.
What do you think?
I'll work on some night shots too but didn't have my phone with me when I tested them. With these 3 Rigid lights up front I can see anything and everything on the back roads. Might not keep me from smashing a deer but at least I will get a good look at the deer before I hit him.

Believe it or not I have not tried it out yet...except in the driveway. I was going to take it up to the hunt club this weekend and ride the roads to check things out....but now the truck is in the shop for a PCM issue. CRAP!!! When I get it back I will get some pics at night, but the Amber looks pretty sweet.
